§ Mrs. ChalkerYes, Sir. The main work of constructing this road started in January this year, as planned, and the road should be open to traffic in about two years' time.
§ Mr. KnoxIs my hon. Friend aware that my constituents in Draycott, Tean and Checkley will be pleased with her reply? Does she envisage any hold-ups in this scheme, or does she believe that the road will definitely be open by the end of next year?
§ Mrs. ChalkerIf the good weather continues, and unless something totally unforeseen happens, I do not expect any hold-up in the building of that road. During the past year many contractors have finished their contracts well ahead of schedule, and I hope that that will be the case in my hon. Friend's constituency.
