§ Mr. MayhewI beg to move amendment No. 36, in page 55, line 9, at end insert— uprating provisions of clause 30 of the Bill. The penalties in sections 39(2) and 49 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933, which were increased from £50 to £500 in the Criminal Law Act 1977, will not increase unless they are included in the list of special penalty increases in schedule 3 to the Bill.
