Motion made, and Question proposed, That, notwithstanding the Resolution of 15th March, provision may be made for a different rate of surcharge under the National Insurance Surcharge Act 1976 in the case of certain contributions which ire required to be paid by—

  1. (a) bodies which are local authorities of a description specified in that provision;
  2. (b) the Receiver for the Metropolitan Police District and the police authority fox every police area other than that District;
  3. (c) the fire authority for every area in Scotland falling within a combined area;
  4. (d) probation and after-care committees; and
  5. (e) magistrates courts committees and the committee of magistrates for the inner London area.—[Mr. Giles Shaw.]
