§
Lords amendment: No. 10, after clause 4, insert the following new clause—
F. An Order in Council under paragraph 1(1)(b) of schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 1974 (legislation for Northern Ireland in the interim period) which contains a statement that it is made only for purposes corresponding to the purposes of this Act—
§ Mr. AbseThe amendments simply regularise the position on Northern Ireland. The law concerning the forfeiture rule in Northern Ireland is broadly similar to that in England and Wales. Amendment No. 10 allows corresponding provision to be made for Northern Ireland, but by Order in Council subject to negative rather than affirmative resolution in Parliament.
§ Question put and agreed to.
