§ Mr. SpeakerBefore I call the business question, this may be an appropriate moment to inform the House that the Editor of Hansard has written to me to apologise for the fact that yesterday's Hansard records the right hon. Member for Chesterfield (Mr. Varley) moving an amendment different from the one that he actually moved. I realise that this is an embarrassment to the right hon. Gentleman and to his right hon. and hon. Friends. I apologise on behalf of Hansard.
[The amendment should read as follows:
"condemns Her Majesty's Government for pursuing economic policies which have brought about more than three million unemployed and destroyed major sections of British industry; and calls for radical action in line with Labour's 'Plan for Expansion' to create jobs, revive industry, and regenerate the British economy".]
I also wish to draw the attention of the House to the fact that there is an error in the text of the Opposition motion down for discussion today. There is a printing error in line 3. The word "not" has been inserted. Once again, we can only say that this is a human error, for which we apologise. I leave the matter there.
