I beg to move amendment No. 101, in page 97 line 19, at end insert— '(1A) In section 334, the following subsection shall be inserted after subsection (3)—' (3A) An answer given by a person to a question put to him in exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (3) of this section may be used in evidence against him.

The amendment provides that an answer given by a person to a question put to him in the course of an investigation under section 334 of the 1948 Act—as it is to be amended by clause 86 of the Bill—may be used in evidence against him.
