§ Mr. RifkindThese amemdments arise out of a point raised in Committee by the hon. Member for Glasgow, Garscadden (Mr. Dewar). They give a measure of guidance to the court in relation to orders apportioning expenditure between the spouses so that their respective ability to pay is not overlooked. The amendments represent a useful improvement to the Bill, and I commend them to the House.
