Lords amendment: No. 1, in page 22, line 10, at end insert— (3A) In subsection (3) —

  1. (a) in paragraph (a) for the words "is to be" there shall be substituted the words "has been";
  2. (b) in paragraph (d) for the words from "on which" to the end there shall be substituted the words "of the first publication of a notice in accordance with paragraph (a) above"

I beg to move, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said amendment.

Subsection (3) amends a drafting error in section 42 of the Insurance Companies Act 1974. The amendment adds a new subsection to the clause to cure two further faults of drafting in that section that have been pointed out to the Department.
