asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will make a statement on the current proposals of the European Commission concerning the outward processing trade of textile products.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer given earlier today to the hon. Member for Carlisle (Mr. Lewis).

Mr. Ford

Will the Minister take into account that that trade, which is all outwardly processed goods, and is to be included in textile quotas and bilateral agreements, should be enshrined in the multi-fibre arrangement?
