§
Lords amendment: No. 18, after clause 44 insert the following new clause—
In subsection (2) of section 22 of the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1967?
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithI beg to move, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said amendment.
§ Mr. Deputy SpeakerWith this we may take Lords amendment No. 25.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithThere is nothing dramatically new in the amendment. In 1978 some fishery functions were transferred from the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to the Secretary of State for Wales. Certain matters in respect of that transfer were overlooked in the earlier stages of the Bill. The functions to be exercised by the Secretary of State for Wales are made clear in conformity with what has already been agreed to and with established practice.
§ Question put and agreed to.
