§ Mr. John Wheeler, supported by Mr. Neil Thorne, Mr. John Hunt, Sir Brandon Rhys Williams, Mr. Nicholas Scott, Mr. Harry Greenway, and Mr. Christopher Murphy, presented a Bill to give effect to the abolition of the Greater London Council; to set up a commission to apportion the remaining responsibilities among the London boroughs and other authorities; to provide a statutory basis for the London Boroughs Association; and for connected purposes.
