HC Deb 12 June 1981 vol 6 c704

Order for Second Reading read.

Hon. Members

Object.

Mr. James Wellbeloved (Erith and Crayford)

On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker. May I ask of the Government Whip who objected to the Bill whether he had the courtesy to inform, in his absence, the sponsor of the Bill that it was the Government's intention to object to it?

Mr. Deputy Speaker

That is not a point of order. I am afraid that any objection has that effect.

Second Reading what day? No day named.
