Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make provision for regulating the design, construction and operation of certain energy-consuming appliances and otherwise with respect to the nation's use of energy, it is expedient to authorise the payament out of money provided by Parliament of—

  1. (a) grants made by the Secretary of State with the approval of the Treasury for the purposes of any scheme for the provision of advice with a view to promoting the conservation of energy; and
  2. (b) any expenses incurred by a Minister of the Crown in consequence of the provisions of that Act.—[Mr. John Moore.]
