HC Deb 05 February 1981 vol 998 c500 10.13 pm
Mr. David Gilroy Bevan (Birmingham, Yardley)

With your permission, Mr. Speaker, I wish to present a petition on behalf of the Birmingham branch of the National Federation of Self Employed and Small Businesses Limited, which is complaining about the effect of Cmnd. 7864 and the new strategy. It is signed by 83 people, many of whom live in my constituency.

The prayer reads as follows: Wherefore your petitioners pray that your honourable House rejects the proposals outlined in "Income During Initial Sickness: A New Strategy". I want to thank Dr. Bernard Jilby, who helped to organise the petition. It has great merit, and I agree with it.

To lie upon the Table.
