Amendment made: No. 106, in page 135, line 27, at end insert—
'.—(1) In section 1(1)(b) of the 1967 Act (period during which tenant must have occupied the premises as his residence) for "five years", in both places, substitute "three years".
(2) In sections 9(3)(b) and 23(2)(b) of the 1967 Act (application for enfranchisement or extension of lease not to be made within five years of previous application) for "five years" substitute, in each case. "three years".'.—[Mr. Stanley.]
