§ Mr. George Robertson accordingly presented a Bill to provide for the better safety of children in cars by prohibiting the carriage of children under thirteen years of age in the front seat of motor cars, to provide for the appropriate fitments for seat belts in rear seats of all new cars and for the fitment of rear seat child safety seats in a proportion of all hire-drive cars: And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time upon Friday 8 February and to be printed.
