HC Deb 22 February 1980 vol 979 c912

Order for Second Reading read.

Hon. Members

Object.

Mr. Greville Janner (Leicester, West)

On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker. In view of the way in which this morning's debate has gone and the way in which the Bill dealing with the import of live fish has been dealt with, and since there are millions of people who depend upon this Retirement Bill, is it in order for hon. Members to object as they have done?

Mr. Deputy Speaker (Mr. Richard Crawshaw)

Order. The hon. and learned Gentleman has been in the House long enough to know that it is in order for hon. Members to object.

Mr. Janner

Disgraceful.

Second Reading deferred till Friday 4 July.
