Mr. Secretary Whitelaw, supported by Mr. Secretary Edwards, Mr. Attorney General and Mr. Leon Brittan, presented a Bill to amend the law of England and Wales as to attempts to commit offences and as to cases of conspiring to commit offences which, in the circumstances, cannot be committed; to repeal the provisions of section 4 of the Vagrancy Act 1824 which apply to suspected persons and reputed thieves; to make provision against unauthorised interference with vehicles in public places; and for connected purposes: And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time tomorrow and to be printed.
