Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved,

That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to abolish the Price Commission, to make provision for the control of anti-competitive practices in the supply and acquisition of goods and the supply and securing of services, to provide for references of certain public bodies and other bodies corporate to the Monopolies and Mergers Commission and to provide for the investigation of prices and charges by the Director General of Fair Trading, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of—

  1. (a) any expenses incurred by the Secretary of State or the Director General of Fair Trading in consequence of the provisions of that Act; and
  2. (b) any increase attributable to that Act in the sums payable out of moneys so provided under any other Act.—[Mrs. Sally Oppenheim.]
