Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved, That for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to amend the law relating to social security it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (1) the payment out of money provided by Parliament of any expenses under that Act of a Minister of the Crown and of any increase attributable to that Act in the sums payable out of such money under any other Act;
  2. (2) the payment into the Consolidated Fund of—
    1. (a) any sums failing to be paid into it under provisions of that Act relating to the payment from the National Insurance Fund of expenses incurred by a Minister of the Crown in connection with benefits payable out of the National Insurance Fund, and
    2. (b) any increase attributable to that Act in the sums payable into the Consolidated Fund under any other Act.—[Lord James Douglas-Hamilton.]
