Ordered,
That—
(1) Standing Order No. 6 (Precedence of Government business) shall have effect for this Session with the following modifications, namely:—
In paragraph (2) the word 'fourteen' shall be substituted for the word 'ten' in line 5; in paragraph (3) the word 'eighth' shall be substituted for the word 'seventh' in line 8; and in paragraph (5) the word 'nine' shall be substituted for the word 'ten' in line 30;
(2) Private Members' Bills shall have precedence over Government business on 13th and 20th July, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th November and 7th December 1979, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th February, 7th and 14th March and 4th July 1980;
(3) Private Members' Notices of Motions shall have precedence over Government business on 6th July and 14th December 1979, 11th, 18th and 25th January, 1st February, 21st and 28th March and 18th April 1980 and ballots for these Notices shall be held after Questions on Wednesday 20th June, Wednesday 28th November, Wednesday 12th December and Wednesday 19th December 1979, Wednesday 9th January. Wednesday 16th January, Wednesday 5th March, Wednesday 12th March and Wednesday 26th March 1980;
(4) On Monday 10th December 1979, Monday 25th February, Monday 12th May, and Monday 7th July 1980, Private Members' Notices of Motions shall have precedence until Seven o'clock and ballots for these Notices shall be held after Questions on Thursday 22nd November 1979, Thursday 7th February, Thursday 24th April, and Thursday 19th June 1980:
(5) No Notice of Motion shall be handed in for any of the days on which Private Members' Notices have precedence under this Order in anticipation of the Ballot for that day.—[Mr. St. John-Stevas.]
