Members—especially new Members—that on the motion for the Adjournment of the House on Friday 25 May up to seven Members may raise with Ministers subjects of their own choice. Applications should reach my office by 10 pm on Monday next. A ballot will be held on Tuesday morning and the result will be made known as soon as possible thereafter. This means that the list of timed Adjournment debates for Friday 25 May, which was published yesterday, is cancelled. I fear that yesterday's notice jumped the gun and that this step is necessary in order to be fair to the whole House.
