§ Mr. Denzil DaviesI beg to move amendment No. 34, in page 20, line 32, leave out from 'instrument' to end of line 34 and insert:
'and different days may be so appointed for different provisions.(3) Any reference in this Act to the commencement of any provision of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the day appointed under this section for the coming into operation of that provision.'.This amendment gives power to bring in different provisions of the Bill at different times. The registrars may need to use it to bring in the requirement for insurance cover against fraud a little later in the rest of the Bill to allow time for appropriate policies to be finalised with the insurers. It gives the registrar flexibility in the operation of the legislation.
