Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved,

That for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make provision in respect of rates and in respect of grants to local authorities or to bodies providing services for local authorities, and to amend certain enactments relating to fees charged by local authorities, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of

  1. (1) any sums required for the payment of grants—
    1. (a) to local authorities in respect of rebates under the Rating (Disabled Persons) Act 1978;
    2. (b) to local authorities in respect of expenditure under section 138(1) of the Local Government Act 1972 or under section 84(1) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973;
    3. (c) to the Local Authorities Management Services and Computer Committee or to other organisations having similar functions;
  2. (2) any increase attributable to the said Act of the present Session in the sums pay able out of money so provided under the Local Government Act 1974.—[Mr. Tinn.]
