§ Mr. St. John-StevasI have a substantial financial responsibility in relation to about two dozen executive and advisory organisations. With permission, I shall publish the list in the Official Report.
§ Mr. EnglishAre all the organisations within the scope of public audit? If not, 905 will the right hon. Gentleman take steps to bring them within its scope?
§ Mr. St. John-StevasI cannot give a categorical reply in respect of all those organisations. I shall look into the matter and write to the hon. Gentleman.
§ Mr. D. E. ThomasIn the exercise of his ministerial responsibility for the Welsh Arts Council, and in particular in respect of the allocation of finance, will the Minister have regard to that council's bicultural and bilingual obligations?
§ Mr. St. John-StevasI shall bear in mind what the hon. Gentleman has said. I shall consult my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales on the important issues which the hon. Gentleman has raised.
