Motion made, and Question,

That as from 13th August 1979 paragraph 1 of the Table in Schedule 1 to the Tobacco Products Duty Act 1979 (duty on cigarettes) shall be amended as follows—

  1. (a) for "30 per cent." there shall be substituted "21 per cent.";
  2. (b) for "£9.00" there shall be substituted "£11.77".—[Sir Geoffrey Howe.]

put forthwith pursuant to Standing Order No. 94 (Ways and Means motions) and agreed to.
