§ Mr. Joan Evans
I wish to raise a point of order that is in one way connected with the previous point of order, Mr. Speaker. One of the difficulties of checking the records is the non-publication of parliamentary papers. Is the Leader of the House in a position to make a statement about the resumption of publication?
§ The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Leader of the House of Commons (Mr. Norman St. John-Stevas)
Further to that point of order, Mr. Speaker. Perhaps it would be of assistance for me to say that I am happy to be able to tell hon. Members that, thanks to the unremitting efforts of my right hon. Friend the Minister of State, Civil Service Department, a more accommodating attitude on the part of the unions and some discreet encouragement from the Leader of the House, parliamentary papers will be printed as normal tomorrow.
