HC Deb 13 February 1979 vol 962 cc969-70
Mr. Ridley

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. I should like to draw your attention to this week's "All-Party Notices". Under the heading "Mass Lobbies", it reads: 1. 500 members of the Communist Party on Wednesday 14 February at 2.30 p.m. 2. 2,000 members of the Licensed Victuallers' Association—Lobby to ban the thugs. What arrangements have been made to protect hon. Members in this ensuing battle? Is it not unparliamentary to refer even to members of the Communist Party as thugs?

Mr. Speaker

Order. I am no expert on that matter.
