§ Mr. John FraserI beg to move amendment No 1, in page 5, line 18, at end insert
'; and if the packer of a relevant package which is inadequate, and which was made up by him in the course of carrying out arrangements with another person for the packer to make up packages, delivers the package to or to the order of a person to whom it falls to be delivered in pursuance of the arrangements, the packer shall be guilty of an offence.'.This clears up a slight gap in the Bill, and makes it an offence for a contract packer to have in possession for sale an inadequate package, even though he does not intend to sell it. The hon. Member for Pudsey (Mr. Shaw) pointed to this gap in the Bill, and this amendment puts the matter right.
