Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make provision as respects the performance of unpaid work by persons convicted in Scotland, it is expedient to authorise any increase attributable to any provision of the said Act in the sums payable out of money provided by Parliament—

  1. (a) under the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968 in making grants to local authorities in respect of expenditure incurred by them in providing services for persons subject to community service orders or probation orders which include a requirement that the offender shall perform unpaid work;
  2. (b) by way of rate support grant.—[Mr. Frank R. White.]
