HC Deb 19 June 1978 vol 952 c170

The Lords have agreed to the amendment made by the Commons in page 47, line 36, after '24' insert: '25(1)(b), (c) and (cc), 25(2)' with the following amendment:

Leave out '25(1)(b), (c) and (cc)'

10.0 p.m.

The Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department (Dr. Shirley Summerskill)

I beg to move, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said amendment.

This is a technical amendment. We amended Clause 52 in Committee to take account of amendments to Clause 25, which also were made in Committee. However, Clause 25 was further amended by this House on Report, and subsection (1) of that clause was recast so that it no longer contained any paragraphs. A corresponding change was therefore required in Clause 52 to remove the references to paragraphs (b), (c) and (cc) in the Committee stage amendment. This was overlooked on Report in this House, but it is rectified by the amendment made in another place.

Question put and agreed to.
