§ Mr. LitterickOn a point of order, Mr. Speaker. In a ruling yesterday you apparently laid down a definition for the benefit of the House relating to who is and who is not a member of the Royal Family. However, with respect, it would appear that that ruling was made by you without knowledge of a decision made by a previous monarch in 1917 defining quite precisely who is and who is not a member of the Royal Family.
For that reason I ask you, Mr. Speaker, to reconsider your ruling of yesterday, to have a look at the decision made by the late King George V, and perhaps also to reconsider my suggestion that a definitive list ought to be published by yourself for the purposes of the House.
§ Mr. SpeakerThere is no need for me to reconsider the matter. I had already considered it during the interval between the hon. Gentleman's statement last week and his statement yesterday. My ruling stands.
