HC Deb 30 January 1978 vol 943 c28
Mr. Fell

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. It has occurred to some that the good name and repute of the House of Commons were not greatly furthered by the events that took place during the Committee stage of the Scotland Bill on Wednesday evening of last week, which gave rise to a report from the Serjeant at Arms, which was published by Hansard on Friday morning and concerning which I asked you a question on Friday. It astonishes some of us that there has been no request, so far as I understand it, to you that certain Members should make personal statements. May I ask you once again whether any Members have notified you of their wish to make such statements?

Mr. Speaker

The answer is the same as it was on Friday: I have received no such request.
