Mr. John Farr, supported by Mr. Ben Ford, Mr. Peter Hardy, Mr. Stephen Ross, Mr. A. J. Beith, Mr. W. Benyon and Mr. Patrick McNair-Wilson presented a Bill to repeal and re-enact with amendments the Deer Act 1963 with respect to England and Wales and Northern Ireland to prevent the poaching and the illegal taking, killing and injuring of deer in England and Wales and Northern Ireland; to control the sales and purchases of venison in England and Wales and Northern Ireland; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid; And the same was read the First time; and ordered to be read a Second time on Friday 5th May and to be printed.
