By leave of the House, I shall put together the Questions on the three motions relating to Statutory Instruments.

The point of order is on this matter. May I request that you put the motions separately, since many Labour Members wish that motions Nos. 2 and 3 be debated fully on the Floor of the House because they object to the phasing out of imperial measures?

I shall gladly put them separately.

Ordered, That Commission Document No. R/1927/77 relating to Animal Feedingstuffs be referred to a Standing Committee on Statutory Instruments, &c.—[Mr. Foot.]

Motion made, and Question put, That the draft Weights and Measures Act 1963 (Potatoes) Order 1978 be referred to a Standing Committee on Statutory Instruments, &c.—[Mr. Foot.]

Not less than 20 Members having risen in their places and signified their objection thereto, Mr. SPEAKER declared that the Noes had it, pursuant to Standing Order No. 73A (Standing Committee on Statutory Instruments, &c.).

Motion made, and Question put, That the draft Weights and Measures Act 1963 (Various Goods) (Termination of Imperial Quantities) Order 1978 be referred to a Standing Committee on Statutory Instruments, &c.—[Mr. Foot.]
