I beg to move Amendment No. 88, in page 24, line 40, at end insert: '(9A) In section 67(6) of the Medicines Act 1968, for "£400" (which gives the maximum fine on summary conviction which can be imposed by regulations under section 66 for contravention of the regulations) there shall be substituted "£1,000".'.

With this we may take Government Amendments Nos. 89, 102, 103, 112, 123, 136, 138, 139, 141, 142, 143, 151, 152 and 172.

We may also take Amendment No. 137. in Schedule 6, page 64, line 5, column 4, leave out '£50' and insert '£200', and

Amendment No. 140, in page 68, line 3 [Schedule 6], at end insert:

proposed penalties are more appropriate now.
