§ Mr. Michael McNair-WilsonOn a different point of order, Mr. Speaker. You are probably aware that the Government have today published an important White Paper about the future of the water industry. In that White Paper the Government have set out their plans to extinguish the British Waterways Board. Is it usual that no Government Minister should make a statement to enable the House to have a preliminary opportunity to put questions to the Government about the White Paper?
§ Mr. SpeakerThat depends upon the Minister and whether he seeks leave to make a statement to the House. I have not yet received such a request and I do not know whether one will be forthcoming later.
