Queen's Recommendation having been signified—

Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make provision for and in connection with the election of representatives to the Assembly of the European Communities, it is expedient to authorise—

  1. (a) the payment out of the Consolidated Fund of the reasonable charges of returning officers in connection with Assembly elections;
  2. (b) any increase attributable to that Act in the sums payable under any other enactment out of that Fund or out of money provided by Parliament; and
  3. (c) the payment into the Consolidated Fund of any sums falling to be so paid by virtue of that Act.—[Mr. Robert Sheldon.]
