§ 11. Mr. Wyn Robertsasked the Secretary of State for Wales when he next plans to meet the Wales TUC.
§ Mr. John MorrisI am frequently in touch with the Wales TUC.
§ Mr. RobertsWhen the right hon. and learned Gentleman next meets the Welsh TUC, how will he explain to it the increasing unemployment—from 32,000 in October 1973 to 79,000 in October 1976—and the fact that industrial production in Wales is now below the level of the three-day working week?
§ Mr. MorrisI can assure the hon. Member that I am as concerned about the level of unemployment in Wales as is the Wales TUC. I keep in constant touch with the Wales TUC and I meet its 946 members on delegations from time to time. I also discuss these matters with it.
§ Mr. Gwynfor EvansWhen the right hon. and learned Gentleman next meets the Wales TUC, will he discuss with it its scheme for a legislative Assembly for Wales?
§ Mr. MorrisThat does not arise on this Question, but I can assure the hon. Member that I know from my discussions with the Wales TUC that it certainly supports the Government measures now before the House.
