HC Deb 14 January 1977 vol 923 c1909

3.59 p.m.

Mr. Arnold Shaw (Ilford, South)

I beg to move, That this House regrets the failure of numerous attempts over the years to pass legislation to ban live hare coursing contrary to widespread public support for such action; condemns the House of Lords for wrecking the Bill for the abolition of hare coursing in the last session of Parliament; and calls upon the Government to give facilities for the passage of another such Bill this session. I move the motion formally. I am sure that the House will regret the fact that this subject is not being debated today.

It being Four o'clock, Mr. DEPUTY SPEAKER interrupted the Business.
