§ Mr. MillanI beg to move, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said amendment.
This is the clause dealing with the transitional provisions, and it is desirable that the fees payable by applicants to licensing boards, which need revision and which will be prescribed in regulations made by the Secretary of State should be prescribed in good time for the start of operations by licensing boards in July 1977. The amendment enables regulations 1568 to be made before 1st July 1977 by adding the appropriate reference to the clause to allow that to be done.
