§ Mr. MillanLords Amendment No. 39 is a paving amendment for Lords Amendment No. 40 which adds premises with an entertainment licence to the list of those in which it is not an offence to accept payment for alcoholic liquor by a credit token. It was represented to us by the entertainment industry that it should be possible to pay by credit token for private functions, such as a dinner-dance, which included the supply of alcoholic liquor, at premises with an entertainment licence. The amendment enables that to be done.
