§ Mr. MartenIn order to avoid that sort of thing happening—as happened in Woodstock in my constituency—may I suggest that more consultation takes place with organisations such as chambers of commerce and local shopkeepers, so that everyone of importance is consulted before an crder is finally made?
§ Dr. GilbertI am aware of the difficulties that existed in the hon. Member's constituency. However, the fact that it has been necessary to withdraw only two orders in a year is pretty good evidence that we are doing a reasonable job on consultation.
