HC Deb 14 June 1976 vol 913 c37

[24TH ALLOTTED DAY]—considered.

Mr. Michael English (Nottingham, West)

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker. I am aware that you have not been given notice of this, but the circumstances have only just arisen. Would it be in order to have a Standing Order No. 9 debate at this moment on the way in which the Opposition have been misleading the electorate and their own supporters?

Mr. Speaker

The hon. Gentleman is no mean expert on parliamentary affairs, and he knows that the Clerk of the House has read the Orders of the Day.
