Queen's Recommendation having

been signified


That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make further provision with respect to school-leaving dates, it is expedient to authorise any increase in the sums payable out of moneys provided by Parliament under the Family Allowances Act 1965 and the Social Security Act 1975 which is attributable to—

  1. (a) provisions whereby a person who has attained the upper limit of compulsory school age can be treated for the purposes of the said Act of 1965 as being under that limit until a later date; and
  2. 756
  3. (b) provisions substituting the age of 16 for school-leaving age in sections 4(2)(a), 7(1) and 8(1) of the said Act of 1973-[Mr. Gerry Fowler.]
