§ Mr. WaltersI am grateful to the Minister for saying that. Will he bear in mind that there is considerable local uncertainty about the route and that, as the Warminster bypass has been under discussion for many years, the sooner he can make an announcement the better?
§ Dr. GilbertI am certainly anxious to be as helpful as possible to the hon. Gentleman and his constituents, but he will be the first to recognise that the consultation exercise was completed only about a week ago and that not even all the local authorities, as I understand it, have yet submitted their views. Therefore, it will be a little time yet before we can announce a decision.
