HC Deb 02 August 1976 vol 916 c1215
Mr. Speaker

Last Thursday the hon. Member for Keighley (Mr. Cryer) raised a point of order with me about strangers using certain facilities in the House. He asked me to look into the matter. I have discussed the issue with the various authorities in the House and I am of the opinion that it is a matter that ought to be considered by the appropriate Committee. No doubt the Leader of the House will look into that.

Mr. Cryer

May I say, Mr. Speaker, that I am most grateful to you for the serious way in which the matter which I raised on a point of order has been investigated. This is an issue of great seriousness and I hope that you will be able to use your persuasive powers to get the Committee to examine this as a matter of urgency and not simply put it to one side because we are approaching a recess.
