HC Deb 14 October 1975 vol 897 cc1257-8

Amendment made: No. 351, in page 47, line 6, leave out: 'and particulars to be contained in'.—[Mr. John Silkin.]

Mr. Alec Jones

I beg to move Amendment No. 350, in page 47, line 14, after 'than', insert: 'paragraphs 18(4) and 19A(5) of'. My right hon. Friend referred to the right hon. Member for Crosby (Mr. Page) as a Kissinger. I must say that many of the minor amendments which we have been able to accept, and suggestions for amendments, have emanated from the right hon. Gentleman. This is such an amendment. In Committee the right hon. Gentleman indicated that without the specific reference to the relevant paragraph, which is what we are suggesting by the amendment, any reader interested in the Bill would have to wade through several pages of Schedule 4 to find what the order in question was about.

We accept the weight of the argument and put forward this amendment to improve the drafting.

Amendment agreed to.
