§ Mr. SpeakerI will now rule on the complaint of breach of privilege raised by the hon. Member for Crewe (Mrs. Dunwoody).
1270 I have considered the matter of the complaint made yesterday by the hon. Member of certain passages in the Travel Trade Gazette newspaper. I am satisfied that this is a proper case for me to allow a motion with precedence over the Orders of the Day.
§ The Lord President of the Council and Leader of the House of Commons (Mr. Edward Short)In view of your ruling, Mr. Speaker, I beg to move,
That the matter of the complaint be referred to the Committee of Privileges. It would, I think, be in the interests of the House as a whole now if it were to decide that no further debate should take place at this stage.
§ Question put and agreed to.
§
Ordered,
