Queen's Recommendation having been signified

Resolved, That for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to amend sections 1 and 2 of the Prices Act 1974, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of—

  1. (1) any increases attributable to the said Act of the present Session, not exceeding in the aggregate £1,000 million, in the sums payable out of such moneys under the said Act of 1974 for the purpose of reducing, or preventing or limiting increased in, food prices in the United Kingdom.

  3. (2) any increases attributable to the said Act of the present Session in the administrative expenses of a Government department under the said Act of 1974 and in the sums payable under any other Act out of moneys so provided.—[Mr. Walter Harrison.]
